Using the chat
The chat is the main interface of RAGFab. You ask questions in natural language and receive answers based on your document base.
Ask a question
- Type your question in the "Posez votre question..." field at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the send button (arrow icon) or press Enter.
- RAGFab searches your documents and generates an answer.
TIP
Formulate your questions clearly and precisely. For example, prefer "How to configure the proxy on WordPress?" rather than "proxy WordPress".
Select a universe
The universe selector is located in the top bar. It targets the search to a specific set of documents (e.g. DSI, Pastel, Sillage).
- Click the universe name to open the dropdown menu.
- Select the desired universe.
- All questions in this conversation will be filtered to this universe.
Search options
Two options are available in the top bar:
Deep search
Enabled by default (green toggle). This option performs a more thorough search using reranking to improve result relevance.
Hybrid search
Disabled by default. Combines semantic search (by meaning) and keyword search for complementary results.
INFO
These options can be toggled at any time during a conversation.
View sources
Each answer comes with its sources. Click Sources (N) to expand the list of documents used.
Each source shows:
- The document title
- The section or page number
- An excerpt from the relevant passage
Click a source to view the full document in a dedicated viewer.
Rate an answer
Below each answer, you can click:
- Thumbs up if the answer is satisfactory
- Thumbs down if the answer is incorrect or incomplete
TIP
Your ratings help administrators improve the knowledge base quality.
Copy an answer
A Copy button is available below each answer to copy the text to clipboard.
If a response template is configured (e.g. ITOP formatted response), a Copy for ITOP button provides a formatted version.
Dark mode
Click the moon/sun icon in the top bar to switch between light and dark themes.
